Charlotte Barter Charlotte is a massage therapist and wellness consultant. She is also key to our administrative team. Her skills are legendary! She became a Christian at 23 and went to Bible school, YWAM and outreach in the Red Light district of Copenhagen. For three years she worked with the homeless and prostitutes at the Earl’s Court project followed by a season of prison visiting at Holloway, which has given her real insight into other lifestyles. Together with Emma, she has travelled extensively in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil (where she joined Emma for a short time working with the street children), Argentina (where her visit to see Olmos Maximum Security prison inspired her to do prison ministry) the United States and Europe. She combines her Christian outreach (helping other ministries such as Freedom Ministries International and World Compassion) with her wellness therapies, as well as assisting the smooth running of Acts One Eight and its outreach activities. She also supports her husband Ian, who is a distinguished musical director. They were married in 2005 at Holy Trinity Brompton in London, and now have a son, Benjamin and a daughter, Isabella. |
